About Debbie

Rep. Debbie Sariñana has represented New Mexico’s 21st District since 2017, where she is the chair of the Science, Technology and Telecommunications Interim Committee and a member of the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee, and the Education Committee.

A member of the AFT, Sariñana has championed recent legislation that provides a framework for the first time in New Mexico for the widespread implementation of community schools.

A military veteran and a longtime mathematics and science educator, she lives in Albuquerque and is a proud mother of three children.
